Elisa Ramsey May

After spending 10 years in corporates sales, Elisa returned to school in 2003 and received her certification for massage therapy. As a licensed massage therapist she has owned and operated her practice in Greenville for the past 10 years. In January 2013 she and business partner Samantha Smith opened Greenville Fitness & Rehab. Elisa specializes in sports and orthopedic massage and also is an instructor for the massage therapy programs at Spartanburg Community College and Greenville Tech. As an instructor with the program in Spartanburg she developed a student massage curriculum with Wofford’s athletic department and enjoys working with athletes of all levels.
Elisa received her associate degree from Greenville Tech in 2009 as a Physical Therapist Assistant and joined Russell Physical Therapy in the spring of 2010. She enjoys the out-patient setting and individualized attention that patients receive at this practice. Elisa received extensive training in kinesio- taping in 2010 and became RockTape certified in spring of this year. These additions to treatments in both practices have proven very successful with a variety of conditions and athletes.
In her free time, Elisa enjoys running and cycling and has been an avid equestrian since childhood. Over the past several years, she has competed in several sprint triathlons, a half marathon, and the latest and “funnest” physical endeavor has been learning how to play ice hockey and playing on a co-ed league. One of her passions is to make fitness and self-care simple and fun for people of all ages and activity levels. As part of Greenville Fitness & Rehab, she wants this facility to be the premier provider of fitness, sports massage, and rehab to the Greenville community!
